Grand Marnier’s Grand Giving Tree Grows On Facebook

[![][1]][2]Raise your glasses to Grand Marnier, as the alcohol brand toasted three [charitable organizations][3] with the launch of The Grand Giving Tree Facebook application on its page.

[The Grand Giving Tree][4] encourages fans of Grand Marnier to select their favorite of three charitable organizations -- World Wildlife Fund, WaterAid America, and Cool Earth -- by choosing an ornament representing one of those nonprofits and trimming The Grand Giving Tree with it.

The group with the most ornaments on December 31 will receive $10,000, and the other two groups will get $2,500 apiece. In addition, one randomly selected participant will win $1,000.

World Wildlife Fund is one of the world's largest nature-conservation programs. WaterAid America is focused on ensuring that the world's poorest countries have access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene. And Cool Earth's mission is to halt deforestation.

Marnier Lapostolle Marketing Manager Pamela Broyles said:

We are so excited to be partnering with such amazing organizations. The holidays should be about giving, and we are honored to be able to contribute to these deserving causes. By using a hugely popular platform like Facebook, The Grand Giving Tree will bring people together through social networking and the power of goodwill.

We continue to see that charitable efforts on brand pages attract more traffic and engagement than most other promotional tactics, so this campaign ought to give Grand Marnier a big boost.

Readers: Which of the three charitable organizations would you choose?
