CastleVille Winter Vacation Quests: Everything you need to know

![][1] While Christmas may have come and gone, that doesn't mean that [CastleVille][2] has seen the last of Kris Kringle (Santa) just yet. A new 10 part quest series will see you saying farewell to the man in red in style. You see, now that Christmas is over, Santa wants a vacation - to head somewhere warm with a beach. You'll be along for the ride, helping him have just that.

**South for the Winter**

* Have 2 Fishing Bait
* Have 5 Wheat

Wheat takes a full day to grow, but if you've saved at least five Wheat from a previous growth cycle, you'll finish that task easily. Fishing Bait, meanwhile, can be crafted in your Workshop. For finishing this first quest, you'll receive 500 coins and 10 XP.

**Worth a Shot**

* Modify the Gift-A-Pult
* Launch Kris Kringle from the Gift-A-Pult

The modifications are simple: just collect five Wood Planks and 10 Stones and then click on the Gift-A-Pult in your kingdom to upgrade it. Click on it again to load Kris into the seat, and yet again to try and launch him out. Of course, things don't go quite as planned, so you'll need to keep working. For now though, you'll receive 750 coins, 15 XP and a Snowman Guard as rewards.

**Red Hat Down**

* Collect 10 Pails of Water
* Collect 4 Yulefest Cakes
* Buy 1 Snow Shovel

First things first, the Snow Shovel is an easy purchase in the market for 300 coins. You can receive Yulefest Cakes by asking your friends to send them to you, but also at random when fishing. That's convenient, as you'll also need to fish to randomly find the Pails of Water. When you finish this quest, you'll earn 500 coins and 10 XP.
**
Put a Spring in Your Step**

* Craft 5 Lazy Springs in the Gift Shoppe
* Repair the Gift-A-Pult

Your last attempt at launching Kris ended up damaging the Gift-A-Pult. You'll need to collect seven Wood Planks, five Stone Blocks and five Lazy Springs to put it back together again. Each Lazy Spring requires two Iron Ore and two Silver Ore to craft inside the Gift Shoppe with that process taking an hour. When you finish this quest, you'll earn 1,000 coins, 20 XP and a Snow Princess for your kingdom.

**Reverse Engineering**

* Use 2 Super Clobbers
* Banish the winter Gloom Goblins

Super Clobbers can either be crafted or purchased outright from the store for 20 Reputation Hearts each. You can use these Super Clobbers to more quickly take out the Winter Gloom Goblins that have appeared in your kingdom, or you can expend more energy defeating them with just your fists. Either way, when you finish this quest, you'll receive 750 coins and 15 XP.

**Stay on Target**

* Collect 4 Lenses
* Have 5 Chicken Meat
* Visit 5 Neighbors

The Lenses come from asking friends to send them to you, while you can earn Chicken Meat by feeding Adult Chickens. These Chicken Meat items are fairly rare, so if you already have some in your inventory but have yet to actually start this quest, make sure to hold onto them! When you finally do finish this one, you'll earn 500 coins, 10 XP and 2 Candy Cane Banners for your efforts.

**North Pole Diet**

* Harvest 15 Cabbages
* Harvest 10 Carrots
* Craft 1 Anvil

Each square of Cabbage takes 12 hours to grow by default, while Carrots take just one hour. While you're waiting for one or both to finish growing, you can also start work on the Anvil, which can be crafted in the Workshop using 5 Stone Blocks and 5 Alchemist Powders. For finishing this quest, you'll receive 750 coins and 15 XP.

**Sticky Fingers**

* Banish 3 Winter Bloom Thieves
* Eat 3 Chocolate Bars

When you banish the Winter Gloom Thieves, you'll have a chance of receiving Chocolate Bars. Kris doesn't want to ruin his diet, so you'll need to go into your inventory and "eat" them yourself before he can. For finishing this quest, you'll receive 750 coins, 15 XP and a Toy Train item.
**
More Power!**

* Upgrade the Gift-A-Pult
* Collect 20 Piles of Sand

The Sand comes from fishing, which can be done in your own kingdom or in neighboring lands. Meanwhile, this Gift-A-Pult upgrade requires 15 Wood Planks, 15 Stone Blocks, 5 Gold Bricks and 10 Lenses. It'd be in your best interest to plan ahead for this quest by crafting these items as soon as you can (whenever you have a free Workshop), as your overall progress in this quest series is being timed. Either way, you'll earn 1,000 coins and 20 XP for finishing this one off.

**Ready, Aim, See You Next Year!**

* Fire the Gift-A-Pult
* Click on the Gift-A-Pult

Once again, Kris will climb up into the Gift-A-Pult, but this time you really will send him on his way. He'll leave you a present, along with one final modification for the Gift-A-Pult, requiring 10 Wood Logs and 10 Stones. The gift? A Rudolph animal. You'll also receive 1,000 coins and 20 XP for finishing this quest itself.

We'll make sure to let you know if additional holiday themed goals launch in CastleVille just as soon as we know more, so keep checking back with us!
