Facebook Gears Up For Self-Serve Premium Advertising

[![][1]][2]Facebook's self-service ad platform is already gearing up for [premium advertising][3] barely a day after the company announced it at the marketing conference in New York.

Tipster Kevin Evanetski, founder of [Social Yeah][4], sent us the screenshot pictured here, showing the option to boost a page's status update into a homepage ad.

That's the model of [premium ads][5], which Facebook has said it will price on an ongoing basis instead of pricing based on clicks or views.

However, when we went through the self-serve ad-buying process, "ad from a page post" didn't appear as any of the options next to "story type." Presumably, we're not part of the test group for this.

Readers, have any of you seen different wording or options in the advertising section of Facebook?
