Facebook + Twitter + Klout + Pinterest = No-Strings-Attached Dates? April Fool’s!

[![][1]][2]PinPal is an online dating site that collects users' information from Facebook, Twitter, and Klout, and then brings it into [Pinterest][3] and uses a "secret algorithm" to match up "like-minded Pinterest users" for "no-strings attached dates." PinPal is also one hell of an elaborate April Fool's joke.

For a service that doesn't really exist, a great deal of work went into [PinPal][4], including:

* The creation of a fake [management team][5], including a [Twitter handle][6] and [Pinterest page][7] for "Founder and Chief Executive Officer" Jimmy Addison, whose Facebook page is restricted to "friends only."
* [Testimonials][8] from PinPal "success stories," which are absolutely hilarious.

* A [terms of service][11] page that looks like any other website's TOS, until you read it more closely and realize how over-the-top it is.
* [![][12]][13]Ditto for the PinPal [privacy policy][14], which goes as far as saying:

We will make any legally required disclosures of any breach of the security, confidentiality, or integrity of your unencrypted electronically stored personal data to you via email or conspicuous posting on this site in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, consistent with (i) the legitimate needs of law enforcement or (ii) any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the reasonable integrity of the data system.
