Pepper Spray Images Become Popular Facebook Meme

Facebook users are forwarding photos riffing on pepper spray, inspired by Lieutenant John Pike, the University of California at Davis policeman who sprayed peaceful [student protesters][1] at point-blank range.

The humorous images intend to send the message that Pike's action was cruel and unwarranted, a stance taken by those who sympathize with the [Occupy movement][2] worldwide.
